    Setting up the Hero Area

The structure of Inspiro Lite and Inspiro Premium differs slightly due to WordPress.org’s requirements for making themes compliant with the platform’s rules.

Most customers upgrade for the advanced features of Inspiro’s hero area, including multiple video background slides and video controls. How you use the hero area will depend on your setup:

If you used Elementor in Inspiro Lite:

    • Your hero section may already use a background video via Elementor’s native Section settings.
    • In Inspiro Premium, we recommend using the Video Slideshow widget, which supports multiple video slides, overlays, titles, and buttons.
    • Replace your current hero section with the Video Slideshow widget, then delete the old one.

If you used the Block Editor:

    • Your hero section may use a Cover block with a video background.
    • The Cover block only supports one video, not a slideshow.

To enable multiple slides with video backgrounds in the block editor:

    1. Delete the Cover block.
    2. Assign a page template that supports the slideshow, e.g. Homepage (With Slideshow).
    3. Go to Slideshow → Add New to create and publish slides.
    4. The slideshow will appear automatically on pages using the correct template.

If your homepage showed the latest posts (in Settings Reading):

    • Inspiro Lite sets the hero via Customize → Homepage Hero Area.
    • After upgrading, Inspiro Premium will automatically create a slideshow post with the same settings and display it on the homepage.
    • You can then customize this in Customize → Homepage Slideshow.
